"To communicate effectively, we must realize that we are all
different in the ways we perceive the world..." Anthony Robbins
It´s about trust. An open mind, continuity and a willingness to accept that you will make some mistakes are the basic prerequisites for learning. However, the most important aspect of all is trust. The ability to communicate has a lot to do with intuition and spontaneity, but – more than anything – you have to have trust in your own abilities. The fear of not being able to adequately express yourself often prevents you from using capabilities that you have already had for a long time, but which nevertheless fail you at the decisive moment. Only when you really come to trust your own language skills can your sub-conscious mind internalise the foreign language. Telling jokes in another language, reacting spontaneously in the face of surprise or describing something in a roundabout way when the right word just won’t come to mind – these are all important learning goals at CLS. We would like to strengthen your trust in your existing and potential language skills so that the language you are learning really becomes second nature to you and you are able to move in new cultural environments. What we would like to see from you are commitment, the courage to deal with the gaps in your knowledge and confidence in what you can achieve. |
